Gives Back

Conservation. Community. Service.

The Central Missouri Chapter of Safari Club International is committed to more than hosting events. Through volunteer service, youth programs, hunter education, charitable giving, and community partnerships, our chapter works to make a lasting difference across Central Missouri.

Share the Harvest

Share the Harvest | Sportsment Against Hunger

Through the Sportsmen Against Hunger program, part of Missouri’s statewide Share the Harvest effort, hunters can donate venison after a successful deer hunt to help feed families in need.

Hunters may donate anything from one pound of venison to a whole deer at a participating processor. The Central Missouri Chapter of SCI, along with the Conservation Federation of Missouri, helps cover processing and distribution costs for whole deer donations.

Over the past 27 years, the chapter has helped donate 446,030 pounds of venison to charities throughout Central Missouri. This program is one of the clearest examples of hunters making a direct and meaningful difference in their communities.

Military Appreciation

The Central Missouri Chapter of SCI is proud to recognize and support the men and women who have served our country. Each year, the chapter makes Military Appreciation part of its mission by honoring veterans, service members, and military families through chapter activities and special recognition.

This effort reflects the chapter’s belief that service, sacrifice, and outdoor heritage are deeply connected. As the page grows, we will continue adding photos, stories, and updates from the chapter’s Military Appreciation efforts.

Teaching the Next Generation

Education has always been an important part of the Central Missouri Chapter’s mission. The chapter has supported hunter safety classes, conservation education, and outreach efforts that help people better understand responsible hunting, wildlife conservation, and the role hunters play in protecting our outdoor heritage.

These programs help introduce new generations to safe, ethical, and responsible outdoor traditions while strengthening public understanding of SCI’s mission.

Safari Wish

One of the chapter’s most meaningful programs is Safari Wish, which helps fulfill outdoor dreams for kids facing life-threatening illnesses. Through hunting and fishing experiences, professional video, and taxidermy support, the chapter helps create memories that families can carry with them forever.
