History of the Chapter
The first organizational meeting of CMFSCI was held in October of 2001. A group of hunters, sportsmen and women, as well as outdoor enthusiast wanted to make a difference in their respective communities. The foundation is made up entirely of volunteers, who donate their time and resources to assist others. The primary objectives were to provide charitable services to the less fortunate and educate the public on hunting and conservation.

GET INVOLVED
The Central Missouri Chapter of Safari Club International is powered by local members who care deeply about wildlife, conservation, outdoor education, and preserving Missouri’s hunting and fishing heritage.
Our events bring members together through banquets, raffles, youth programs, hunter education, conservation efforts, and outdoor experiences that support the mission of SCI in Central Missouri.
Safari Wish
When another foundation decided not to participate in granting wishes of young hunters battling life-threatening illnesses, by providing hunting and/or fishing trips, Martin Wilson, Larry Dotson and many sportsmen and women were ready to jump in with both feet. Martin and Larry got the ball rolling and the Safari Wish program was created overnight.
