The trailer is not available at this time because of a tragic accident that has taken the life of a SCI member who is greatly missed and did lots of volunteer work for SCI locate chapters which included the sensory safari trailer. For more information please contact Walter at

The trailer was a big hit at the Fox C-6 Early Childhood Development School on October 12
th
. Dennis Moore and Willie Reid were on the road at 4:30 a.m. to get to Arnold, MO and beat rush hour traffic. A number of the kids suffer from physical and/or mental handicaps. They were very excited about being able to see and touch the mounts. One young girl, who was blind, really seemed to enjoy the different feels of the furs, horns and antlers. She put Dennis on the spot, because she wanted to know the first names of the animals. So, there is now Stevie the Skunk, Ozzie the Otter, Benny the Beaver, etc. Besides the kids touring the trailer, we had a number of people who just stopped and looked because they saw the trailer on the parking lot. We received a lot of positive feedback. A number of people who saw the trailer wanted all of you to know they thought what we were doing was a great thing!
Don’t forget, if you have too many mounts and are looking for a good use for them, the Sensory Safari trailer is the place to go! Not only will they be used for a great cause, educating the public on hunting and conservation but you can also receive a tax deduction. If you have a few or know someone who does, please have them email Walter at

The Sensory Safari trailer was designed to provide the public an opportunity to see and touch animals from various continents from throughout the world. The trailer has approximately 100 different mounts for the public to enjoy. Approximately 750,000 people have toured the trailer. Volunteers discuss how hunting and conservation are key elements in maintaining these animals in the wild. If you are interested in scheduling the trailer at an event, please go to the contact us page and click on the email address for sensory safari coordinator.
